Michelle Gibson has spent over 15 years building a psychotherapy practice, supporting clients through the most difficult seasons of their lives.

In her clinical work, she has sat with individuals carrying the weight of what happens when workplaces don't hold their people well — the burnout, the unprocessed stress, the quiet erosion of someone who once loved their work. She has also been called in on the other side: responding to critical incidents that have shaken organizational teams, helping leaders make sense of what happened and how to move forward with care.

And she kept asking herself: what would be different if mental health wasn't something organizations responded to — but something they were built around from the start?

What would it look like if clinicians and wellness providers had a community as nourishing as the ones they create for others?

The Nest Collective is the answer to those questions — and it's the natural extension of the values that have always guided Gibson & Associates: that healing happens in connection, that self-awareness is the foundation of every effective relationship, and that the inner work is never finished, but it's always worth it.

From clinical practice to collective impact

Michelle Gibson, MSW, RSW, is a speaker, trainer, community builder, and the founder of both The Nest Collective and Gibson & Associates Psychotherapy. With over 15 years of experience in psychotherapy and organizational mental health, she has built a practice and a body of work rooted in evidence, clinical depth, and genuine care for the people she works alongside.

Michelle is a WBE Canada Certified Women Business Enterprise, a Top 30 Under 40 award recipient, and holds extensive clinical certifications including EMDR, somatic therapy, hypnotherapy training, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) — at both the therapist and consultant certification levels. She is a recognized leader in the field of psychotherapy practice, providing clinical supervision and mentorship to emerging clinicians.

She brings her own lived experience of leadership, motherhood, and personal growth into every space she enters. She doesn't teach from a place of having arrived. She teaches from a place of always becoming.

Everything we do is rooted in the belief that regulated, connected, self-aware people lead better.

Parent better.
Work better.
Build better.
Heal better.
